Investigator's Field Report

General Description
A farmstead north of the town of LaPorte, Indiana, purchased by Belle Sorenson (later Gunness) in 1900, with the proceeds of a life insurance policy taken out on her late husband. It was the scene of a series of grisly murders in 1907-08, and the main farmhouse was destroyed by fire on the night of 27-28 April 1908.
